Chickens, be afraid. This is The Chilli Man’s version of the old fashioned Portuguese Peri Peri sauce—done in his own special way of course! And it’s especially good with chicken.
Here’s how it works: starts with a slightly sour flavour (because it’s thickened with apples). As the heat is released after about ten seconds, you’ll feel a strange salty sensation all around your tongue. Then you’ll go crazy! Crazy for the Hot Aussie that is, not ‘crazy-in-a-straightjacket’ crazy.
Goes with: chicken burgers, the family roast, seafood, barbecued meat, hot dogs, crispy tuna cakes and makes a primo marinade.
The Chilli Man says: “I’m one Hot Aussie!” (Maybe we should ask the Ladiez about that, Chilli Man…?) |
